Greater Collegedale School System
Media Kit
Hi! My name is Angi Howell and I am the director of Marketing and Recruitment here at the Greater Collegedale School System.
We at the GCSS strive every day to make sure that our students are well cared for academically, socially, artistically and spiritually.
The GCSS consists of three schools, A.W. Spalding Elementary School, Collegedale Adventist Middle School and Collegedale Academy and we service students from pre-school all the way to 12th grade.
Whether it is because of our challenging and rigorous curriculum, our state-of-the-art facilities or our athletics, those who attend our schools grow into well rounded adults who go onto college and to lead successful and healthy lives.

Mission Statement
We are a Seventh-day Adventist school established to educate, equip, and inspire students to be critical thinkers who serve others and reflect Christ’s character.
Early Education Learning Center
A.W. Spalding Elementary School
k-5th grade
AWS is a Christian community of learners dedicated to extraordinary accomplishments. AWS seeks to inspire its learners to think deeply, live fully, serve unselfishly, and love God completely. AWS offers two classrooms of each grade level offering standard academic classes in language arts, reading, math, social studies and science. Additionally, computer, music, art, library and PE classes are standard curriculum for every grade level.
Collegedale Adventist Middle School
6th-8th grade
Academic life at CAMS, in balance with our spiritual focus and well-rounded approach, builds and prepares our students to be academically challenged and supported while having the opportunity to be contributing members of our school and community. It is our goal for each student to grow during their middle school years to achieve intellectual, emotional and mental readiness in preparation for Academy/High School. Our teachers and administration are dedicated to the students’ growth in and outside of the classrooms.
Collegedale Academy
9th-12th grade
Students from around the area and country culminate at CA to experience their high school years and achieve their diplomas. As with all the GCSS schools, CA proactively intertwines Christ and spiritual life within our academics, extra-curricular activities and all events that create the academy experience. CA provides an academic program with three high school diplomas: regular, college prep and CA Scholars. Digital textbooks are used. Each student has an iPad to enhance their learning using up-to-date mediums combined with traditional tactics.
